Carolina Rodriguez, Olympic gymnast visits Soltra’s facilities
Visit of Olympic gymnast Carolina Rodríguez to SOLTRA facilities in La Virgen del Camino.
Carolina is gymnast who has competed with the national rhythmic gymnastics team in Spain. Among his honors she has 12 national titles in the individual modality (9 in Honor category), 9 Queen’s Cups, 3 times Spanish Champion of sets, bronze medal in several world cups and international tournaments, gold medal in the 2013 Mediterranean Games (Mersin, Turkey) as well as a participant in 8 European championships and 10 World Championships, where her best ranking has been to be the 9th in the world, being a world finalist in 2013 and 2014 in the apparatus of tape (7th classified).
She participated in 4 Olympic Games, achieving Olympic Diploma, being also the longest-standing gymnast to participate in an Olympics, since Rio 2016 attended with 30 years.
Expressiveness has been one of its main characteristics, Carolina speaks with her gaze, with her hands, communicates with her whole body. This is because their parents have a hearing disability and since childhood they have communicated with them through sign language, which they use naturally and that is reflected in their way of expressing themselves.
During her visit, Carolina toured the different facilities of SOLTRA: marketing, assembly and laundry, where she knew the lines of activity that the company has and the important social work that is done.
After that she visited Mrs Cinia Residence and Occupational Center. There she shared with some of the residents her experiences during her sports career.
To end the morning and as a clear example of her awareness of people with different abilities, Carolina did not hesitate to join the new SOLTRA campaign, Become Incluencerr, a movement launched from León to reach the whole world for a society more inclusive
Thanks Carolina
