In its policy of continuous improvement, SOLTRA’s division dedicated to the serial manufacture of automotive elements (tourism and industrial vehicles) and spare parts, has achieved the Certificate issued by AENOR IATF 16949:2016 for the assembly of electrical components for the automotive sector, production and assembly of lighting assemblies.

IATF 16949-2016 has become an essential condition for any organization working in the global automotive manufacturing supply chain. Many of the world’s leading automakers make this certification a contractual requirement for their suppliers, therefore a ticket to the automotive industry worldwide.

The purpose of this standard is the development of a quality management system in search of efficiency. Emphasizing the prevention of errors and defects and the reduction of waste, all in order to meet the requirements of customers.

The advantages of IATF for customers are many, from increasing the confidence of the pampering, since it works according to a recognized standard, to the reduction of costs in audits.

The company also benefits, as it improves the processes and quality of its products and achieves access to global consumer contracts.

This certification, once again, confirms SOLTRA’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement and joins the ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management certifications that the company already had.

This new qualification will further facilitate the internationalization process initiated by SOLTRA in 2018, which has expanded its activities to Mexico where it works in the automotive sector and in Denmark where it has signed an agreement with the wind multinational Vestas to continue there the activity that carried out in Villadangos but with the conviction that part of the activity can be carried out from León.
