SOLTRA CINIA México approves the SMETA audit

29 May. 2023 | SOLTRA

In a world increasingly aware of the importance of social responsibility and sustainability, at SOLTRA we strive to meet the standards and norms that guarantee these ethical practices.

One of these standards is the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA), a rigorous evaluation process that seeks to ensure fair labor conditions, good environmental practices and ethical supply chain management by ensuring that all actors involved in the supply chain are fair and socially responsible.

SOLTRA CINIA Mexico has recently successfully passed this audit, thus achieving the following benefits that this recognition brings:

  • Improving labor practices: The SMETA audit assesses labor conditions, including occupational health and safety, equal opportunities and fair wages. Identifying and addressing any difficulties in these areas helps to improve working conditions, promoting a safe, fair and ethical working environment.
  • Regulatory compliance: ensures that we act in accordance with current and future applicable labor and ethical laws and regulations.
  • Transparency and trust: a sign of our comminment to clarity and accountability. An approach that increases the confidence of customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Risk management: The SMETA audit analyzes risk management in areas such as supply chain, occupational health and safety, regulatory compliance and business ethics. Identifies potential risks helping us to strengthen our ability to prevent problems.
  • Improves supplier performance:SMETA provides a Corrective Action Plan and is an efficient audit as data can be shared with multiple buyers reducing th number of audits required.

Congratulations to the entire SOLTRA CINIA team for this recognition.
