SOLTRA México, participates in Hidalgo inclusion project
The government of Hidalgo (Mexico) has developed a pilot project aimed at the inclusion of people with psychosocial disabilities in the workplace.
Last Monday, Zorayda Robles Barrera, head of the Ministry of Health of Hidalgo visited the Villa Ocaranza Hospital accompanied by Juan Manuel Quijada, head of psychiatric care services and representative of the Mexican Government, Senator Marcela Mora and Federal Deputy Isabel Alfaro, as well as the special commissioner of the Senate of the Republic, Alberto Ruiz de la Peña, the general director for the inclusion of people with disabilities, Alfonso Flores Barrera and Fernando Diez, representative of the company SOLTRA CINIA of Mexico.
Initially, four users of this hospital will be trained in compliance with the General Health Act for their insertion in the textile section of SOLTRA CINIA.
Robles Barrera, detailed the achievements that some users of this mental health care unit have shown to develop in everyday life as well as the skills they demonstrate through occupational workshops. He affirmed that this is a sign that people have been discriminated against and forgotten even though they have a lot to contribute.
He added that the government of Julio Menchaca Salazar will not discriminate against these people because “paradigms and stigmas about people with mental disorders are being broken”.
